Julia Hernández Cruz, agente municipal de Santa Martha Latuvi, perteneciente al municipio de Santa Catarina Lachatao invitó a turistas locales, nacionales y del extranjero a disfrutar de la 6ª Feria de la Manzana que realizará el 20 y 21 de julio.
Comentó que con esta feria, lo que se busca es promover a su comunidad y las numerosas actividades de turismo de aventura, ecológico y sostenible con las que cuentan.
Destacó que el 20 de julio a las 10:00 horas se inaugurará la feria, a las 12:00 horas tendrán recorrido en caminatas a las parcelas de manzana o ruta turística; talleres de enseñanza de lengua zapoteca, panadería artesanal, mermeladas caseras y de su bebida milenaria, el tepache. Los pagos podrán hacerse con los encargados de ecoturismo.
A partir de las 14:00 horas habrá conferencias gratuitas sobre alternativas orgánicas, para el manejo agronómico de sanidad y nutrición en frutales de manzana, además de elaboración de pastas bordeles; a las 15:00 horas concursos de pinturas con regalos sorpresas; a las 20:00 horas carrera de antorchas varonil y femenil.
El domingo 21 de julio a las 9:00 de la mañana se tiene programado un Rally de ciclismo, carrera y corte de manzana estilo Latuvi; a las 12:00 horas competencia de leñadores; a las 14:00 horas conferencia “Taraka Bengula” con el antropólogo e historiador Guillermo Marín Ruiz; a las 15:00 horas concurso de aros y a las 16:00 horas presentación de la Guelaguetza y premiación del mejor productor de manzana.
La Agente Julia Hernández dijo que Latuvi pertenece a los Pueblos Mancumunados de la Sierra Norte, responsables con el medio ambiente.
