La Diosa Centéotl en Oaxaca, Lilia López Hernández, de 41 años de edad, también es cocinera tradicional de su natal Loma Bonita Oaxaca.
En entrevista explicó que sabe guisar desde las tradicionales chancletas, que son tamales especiales, hasta las cabecitas de perro que son también una especie de tamal entre dulce y salado.
Gracias a su talento por la cocina, quien representa ahora a la Diosa Centéotl para las fiestas de las y los oaxaqueños, durante un año, sacó adelante a sus dos hijas, con la ayuda de su mamá.
Destacó que es un orgullo para ella representar a la mujer oaxaqueña trabajadora, que lucha por salir adelante, y particularmente a la comunidad afrodescendiente que históricamente ha sido relegada y discriminada.
“La comunidad negra tenemos historia, raíces, una cultura viva, y traemos ritmo en la sangre”, expresó Lilia López, quien no negó haber sufrido discriminación en su infancia por el color de piel.
“Con el tiempo entendí que quien te dice negra para ofenderte es por ignorancia, le falta de cultura, pero los tiempos de Dios son perfectos y quienes tenemos estas raíces nos hacemos fuertes”, dijo.
La también cocinera tradicional y egresada de una carrera técnica en contabilidad precisó que para ella vender platillos típicos es un regalo, pues con una moto se da la oportunidad de hacer entregas a domicilios y con ese trabajo pudo sacar adelante a su familia.
Invitó a turistas a darse la oportunidad de conocer en Loma Bonita las tradicionales “cabecitas de perro”, que lleva chicharrón, manteca, azúcar, masa para tamal y se envuelve en totomoxtle.
